The Fizzy Rainbow.
Here’s a simple science experiment you can do and it only takes minutes to prepare. The kids will have such a fun time creating fizzy concoctions and watching them act like little scientists, will melt your heart into a puddle.
Before you start the experiment, engage the kids and ask them what they think will happen once the baking soda and vinegar combine. Explain to them that when the baking soda which is a base mixes with the vinegar which is an acid, you get a reaction (the fizzing). The reaction between the two produces a gas called carbon dioxide. Then have them compare their observations with their hypothesis.
